James ch 2 v 14-18
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can this kind of faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is it? So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by my works.

Hungry Lunch:

The 'Hungry Lunch' will take place next week (Sunday 17th) after the meeting. We are invited to eat a simple bread and soup meal and donate the money which we would usually spend on the day's meal to the charity GOAL.
Before the meal we will have the opportunity to listen to Ruah Pearson's account of her recent house building trip.

IYM Public Lecture – Friday 29th April
"Called to be Friends" is the title of the Yearly Meeting Public Lecture which will be given by Ross Chapman at 7.30 pm on Friday 29th April. The title comes from the gospel of John where Jesus uses the word “friend” to describe his followers. The lecture will invite us to consider this word in contrast to servant, disciple or enemy.
It's free, open to everyone, and is a great opportunity to meet Quakers.
Yearly Meeting 2011 will take place in Dublin at The King’s Hospital School, Palmerston from Thursday 28th April to Sunday 1st May.

Mother Teresa was a nun of Albanian ethnicity and Indian citizenship .She founded the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, and , for over 40 years, she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying.
We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But if that drop is not in the ocean, I think the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.
