Happy New Year to all our readers!
This week's reading was from the last section of T.S. Eliot's 'Little Gidding', which we can't reproduce for copyright reasons, but it's the part which quotes Mother Julian of Norwich (c. 1342 – c. 1416), "…All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well".
Last Sunday the First Query for Serious Consideration was read, and we learned that our autumn sale of all the home-produced flowers, fruit, vegetables, jams and chutneys, had raised €527 for the Pattan Relief Agency, working to help flood victims in Pakistan.
We received a letter of thanks from the agency letting us know that our produce had been converted into quilts which were donated to the destitute elderly and women with infant children.
The Pattan website (click here) also lists our contribution...
... and goes on to show in further detail what their funds are being used for.
